BNM international reserves at US$95.7b
KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Malaysia's international reserves stood at US$95.7 billion (RM424.91 billion) as at last Friday compared with US$95.4 billion (RM422.2 billion) as at March 31. This was sufficient to finance 8.2 months of retained imports and was 1.1 times the short-term external debt, said Bank Negara. The main components of the international reserves were foreign currency reserves (US$88.9 billion), International Monetary Fund Reserves position (US$0.8 billion), Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) (US$1.1 billion), gold (US$1.6 billion) and other reserve assets (US$3.3 billion).
