Malays are not naive about peaceful mass protests

THE Sept 16 Red-Shirt rally serves to remind both Malays and non-Malays that although Malays are historically non-violent, they are not immune to peaceful mass protests that gather them from all corners of the country. After all, this is practised every Friday, where men from all walks of life and social status drop their worldly commitments to fulfil their religious duties.
