TNB inks MoU on CCS with Petronas

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) to explore carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology for gas-fired power plants. TNB chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Baharin Din said the MoU strengthened the companies’ commitment to the National Energy Transition Roadmap. Petronas president and group CEO Tengku Tan Sri Muhammad Taufik said the complexity of energy transition will need the cooperation of other sectors.
